Week 32

Most Interesting Part of This Class:  When we did midweeks.  Everyone assumed the first answer to the midweeks was "dangling phrase" lol
Least Favorite Part of This Class: Grammar... Obviously everyone is going to say that!
Hardest I Laughed in This Class: The hardest I laughed was when Austin fell off of that stool. He tipped over a little too far, he gripped onto the side of the school, and just realized he couldn't catch himself... there was no way he was going to be saved
Favorite Memory from This Class: The best memory was when we hid Rylan. we all told you he went to the bathroom, but in reality he was just right behind us. We pulled up all of our desks to that little ledge and just squished together!
Best Thing About Hudson as a Teacher: Her randomness and her excitement about school! She tries to come to school with a positive attitude! She just can't help it when she's sick though
Thing Hudson Could do to Make This Class Better For Future Classes: I really can't think of anything, because if I just say "get rid of grammar", you'll just kind of chuckle because you and I both know that will never happen!
Any Final Comments for Hudson: Thank you for such a fun Junior year:)

Week 31

Alright children, I know you're probably just going to skim through this advice, which is okay! You'll just be missing out on life changing advice. NUMBER ONE. Walk on your side of the freaking stairs! This last year wasn't all that bad to be honest, because I think that us upperclassmen may have intimidated some of you guys. NUMBER TWO. Knock it off with all the drama! You have no idea how much it stresses out the faculty and us annoyed fellow classmates. It's all so stupid! We all come to the same school to get the same education, and the drama just makes a regular school day worse. NUMBER THREE. Do not and I repeat DO NOT fall behind in your work. I procrastinated like crazy my Junior year and it just made things worse for me. If you get an assignment, and its due in a week... freaking start working on it when you get it... not the night before its due. NUMBEF FOUR. Please don't give your teachers hell. They don't get paid enough to put up with all of our crap. They're not just teaching us certain subjects. They're teaching work ethic, time management, and how to just simply respectful (respect seems to be fading away honestly). Us students are so lucky to be going to a small school, because we get to have one on one time help from the teachers. Now,  I hope that you guys have a great school year:)

Week 30

As I sat there in awe.. slobber was running down the side of my mouth, because I knew nothing. I didn't even know my name. Just then, 4 people walk and try to introduce themselves to me. I had no idea what they were saying. After weeks of teaching me every letter and word over again... and the meaning behind them, they explained my "past" life. The first person was named Santana. I guess we worked together! She told me that everyone at work loved me and my work ethic! She also said that everyone at work missed me so much that they all wrote me a get better card. The next person who introduced them-self was Sam Rediger. She was telling me about all of these crazy adventures we had together. Like this one time, we playing with the ponies, and then her dad called us up from the bottom field .. telling us to grab a shovel because the field he was at was on fire! The last two people who were there were my parents.. because these 4 people know me the best, that's it... they came in to tell me all about my childhood. My childhood must have been awesome with them around:)

Week 29

Today was a normal day at school, until I got to Miss Hudson's room. There sat this large, strange object... a yellow submarine. Out of no where, Hudson jumps on her desk and says, "Young grasshoppers! Climb aboard my magical Submarine!". We all stood there in awe, because one our teacher just jumped on her desk and two... where in thee heck did she get a submarine. A few seconds past, and we all climbed aboard. There were buttons EVERYWHERE... and I mean everywhere! There were exact amount of seats for all of us kids. The seats even had our names on them! When we were all comfortable Miss Hudson told us where we were going. "We're going to China!", of all places, she picks China... wow. Miss Hudson programmed this yellow submarine and then we all sat back in our seats waiting to leave. We never left! The submarine never moved! WE CAN'T USE A SUBMARINE WITHOUT WATER!!!

Week 28

Dear Sam,
Life would be a crazy roller coaster without you. The first time we first talked in 7th grade, I knew we would be friends for a long freaking time. We have made sooo many memories and I can't wait to make more! Remember the time in Missouri when we took that bag of ice to the people camping next to us? You threw the ice down in their cooler a little too hard... you smashed all of their eggs lol. Do you remember just the other day you pulled into Tom's field entrance and parked. So,I tried to pull in next you, but you didn't think I had enough room. You started backing out as I was pulling you. Well you didn't see me so you almost hit me!!!... with Tom's car!! P.S. I had plenty of room:)

Week 27

"My church" blares through the speakers of an 01 z71, when 2 teenage girls fly over some railroad tracks outside of town. The original plan was to just go to Lacon and grab supper, but then one of them had a great idea. They were going to just drive until they got lost. If I remember correctly, their names were Sam and Kaylee actually! Sam insisted on driving, because her car does wayyy better on gas... and Kaylee was completely okay with that. Sam had to stop in Metamora first to wash her car, then they were off. Sam drove out past Eureka until she couldn't recognize her surroundings. Kaylee was almost asleep, because she had been sick. When they kept driving, they noticed a town called Goodfield. Sam and Kaylee stopped and ate at this awesome restaurant called The Busy Corner. Then, they were off again. In some strange way, they ended up in Bloomington... how were they going to get back. Kaylee called her dad, and he didn't seem too happy about it. Sam doesn't really like driving on the interstate, but we had to take 39 and exit the interstate in Minonk. By then, we knew how to get home:)

Week 26

This is going to be a rant blog. I am apologizing ahead time... sorry. So my wonderful "wish I had a smart comeback" story starts in welding class. I was having an awful day and none of my welds were turning out. I walked up to my teacher and asked him what I was doing wrong. Well, we all have those days where your mouth is saying one thing and your mind is thinking about another. I said, "Nothings not turning out right" to him, because I couldn't think of the right word to say. I know I was grammatically incorrect and I sounded like an idiot, but the funny thing is... he had to point out what I said and make fun of me. He said, "Is that how all you Washburn kids talk?". To remind you, this is my teacher from Metamora. A million freaking things were running through  my mind, but a comeback wasn't one of them. A fist flying through the air was actually one of those thoughts, but that would be flat out stupid, but still tempting. After he said that, I just stood there in shock because I couldn't believe he said that. I would understand it if he was meaning it in a joking matter, but it was coming from a teacher. He was making fun of my education. I'm not the person to really cry, but that smart remark hit me in the feels... like anvil falling from the sky... really fast.

Week 25

The theme song I chose that would represent my life is "I love this life" by LOCASH. We all are given one life to live... so I guess live it to the fullest. On the weekends, we take the trucks out and tear up some dirt roads. Sometimes we actually do hit the railroad tracks too hard... it really does bite back. I'm a simple person and this song explains such a simple, laid back life I live. All of my friends basically have the same kind of life style, so I'm sure all of you reading this will understand!

Week 24

Sam and I have many many many inside jokes, but my favorite one is about treadmills. One day Sam and I was down in her basement... walking on the treadmill. Sam came up with the great idea to make it go as fast as it can go... and run on it. Sam set the speed as high as it could go and she stood on the side rails of it. She waited and she waited until she worked up enough guts to do it. She did it. He feet barely touch the track, but when they did... they shot back so quickly. The next idea we had was to keep the highest speed going and then sit down on it with a pillow. (Remind you... I never tried these) Sam hovered over the treadmill with the pillow under her butt. She sat down... SWOOOSH!! There goes Sammy! Her legs flew up in the air and she got shoved off the treadmill. So to this day, every time we see a treadmill we just laugh:)

Week 23

Well my little group of friends want to go on a road trip after high school. They all want to go to a different country because they can legally drink. I personally want to go to Alaska, because I have an uncle that lives there. We would be saving a lot of money staying at his cabin. He has private locations there for fishing and everything! Another place I would consider would be Germany, but I have seen too many movies. I don't want to get drugged and taken to a hotel to be killed!! Then my ad would have be all Liam Neeson and rescue me lol

Week 21

My celebrity crush would have to be Scott Eastwood! Clint Eastwood (his father) has passed down the acting stick to him... actually probably thrown it as hard as he could an Scott caught it. Scott is an awesome actor. My favorite movie he plays in is The Longest Ride. He is a professional bull rider who falls in love with a city girl who is in college to become an artist. They were driving home from a day at the lake when they see a car accident on the side of the road. Well Scott goes and looks at the car to see if anyone is in it. There was... he rescued this old man who had a very large gash on his head. Story short. The couple becomes a thing and the old guy passes from old age!

Week 22

We all know the lovely Disney movie Frozen, but I got to see the life after their love story. Anna and Kristoff were all happy when the movie ended, because they were first married. The next day, Kristoff left the toilet seat up and it just set Anna off. Anna started yelling and screaming at him for his carelessness. He was in totally confusion, because if that happened yesterday he would have been in the clear. It was like a mood switch that flipped... seems that's what every marriage is like nowadays. Then on top of all of that... Anna found out she was pregnant!

Week 20

I woke up from a crazy dream, noticing it was only midnight! I start my first day of seventh grade tomorrow... scary huh? I walk into the school and sat in the wayyy back of that class, because I knew nobody. Instead of listening to my teacher, I thought about my dream I had the night before. I ended up becoming friends with this crazy girl named Sam Rediger. Sitting back, I honestly wouldn't change anything about my dream except being broke... Anyways! I had a dog named Lucy and my 3 siblings were out of the house! I had bought my own car, but it wasn't legal yet! One thing that happened in my dream that really sticks out was when we had to put out a field fire with her dad! That was a scary moment, but everything turned out fine!

Everything that happened in my dream came true! I have a wonderful best friend and annoying family as usual. I am a 16 year-old Junior now... sitting at a computer at school, nagging my friend to go to Prom!

Week 19

This is probably the hardest question I've ever had to answer. What are some strange truths about me? Hmm... From the time I could walk until I was about 8.. I would rock back and forth on the couch like I was on a rocking chair, but the couch didn't move. I also have this strange obsession with oranges... like it's my go to food when I'm sad... I have no freaking idea why. I have broken 5 computer monitors with magnets when I was younger. I wanted to see why the screen turned all funky so I kept doing it!

Week 18

I have 3 other siblings. Devin is 24... married and has 2 kids. Dustin is 23 and is living in Bloomington. Dillon is 22 and has a baby on the way with Sam's cousin! My brothers and I play fought a lot when we were younger. My sister was a lot older than me so I never really saw her. One time my brother Dillon bought this 3-wheeled golf cart. Well one day we went to all of his friends house and picked them up. We were crossing 89 with 15 people on that poor golf cart... including big speakers strapped on the back. My brother Dustin bought his first four-wheeler when he was 14, but never rode legal on it. Dustin and I would go riding out at his friend Jordan's house and then go back home to watch movies all night. My brothers were very protective of me when I was little, but they would also be mean to me. Whenever I'd fall of my bike they would always be there to help me back on the bike. Then sometimes they'd put me in a sleeping back and guide me around the house... running into walls.

Week 17

As I sit up from this once frozen coffin... I noticed something. Nobody has hair! There are very young girls working for this lab... with little shinny heads! Also, all of the computer screens are missing. How long was I asleep? The computer screens pop up out of there watches as holograms! I tried to stand up, but I had like no feeling in feet. I fall flat on my face! As I finally make it out of the door I notice only one kind of vehicle... Volkswagen has taken over the world, but they are flying now! They spew out little bubbles out of the exhaust lol... This whole world looks like coneheads driving German made vehicles with turtle wax on their heads!
